About Noctualia
Raptor breeding centre in south-east Spain
Noctualia is a raptor breeding centre in San Javier, Murcia, in south-east Spain. We operate as a registered zoological facility (breeder 118LA) under the supervision of the competent wildlife authorities.
Our captive breeding programme focuses on owls (Strigiformes) and diurnal raptors, with an approach that puts animal welfare first and keeps breeding conditions as natural as possible.
Our story
With more than 20 years behind us, Noctualia grew out of a passion for birds of prey and the conviction that responsible captive breeding goes hand in hand with conservation. Over the years we have refined our incubation, rearing and handling protocols, adapting them to the specific needs of each species.
Breeding programme
We have proven experience in genetic selection, artificial incubation and hand-rearing chicks of many species. Our approach always puts the health and welfare of each bird first.

Noctualia supports conservation through responsible breeding, environmental education and collaboration with wildlife rescue centres.
